Water mill (Dunajský Klátov)
This cultural technical landmark, the water mill in Dunajský Klátov, is located on the bank of the Klátov arm of the Small Danube in Dunajský Klátov, in the district of Dunajská Streda. It is a typical example of a bottom mill.
It got its present-day design during its renovation in 1920. The mill last worked in the 1940s. With the construction of a new bridge in the 1950s, the water was directed away from the water wheel, and the site was completely ruined.
In the second half of the 1980s, the, the mill was purchased by the state, and it and its surroundings were declared state-protected territory. Construction and technical renovation of the site began, and the renovated mill was presented to the public on 21 August 1987.
In 2016 it underwent complete reconstruction, which included building of a viewing platform on the opposite bank of the Klátov arm.
