Mount of M. R. Štefánik (Ivanka pri Dunaji)

This is a historic site, where the co-founder of the Czechoslovak Republic, General Milan Rastislav Štefánik, a renowned scientist, died tragically with an Italian crew. In the location where his plane travelling from Terst, Italy, crashed, the mount was built based on a proposal from national artist and architect Dušan Jurkovič in 1923, with a mound of soil and surrounded by Slovak linden trees.
In 1988 and 1992 the monument was reconstructed. Each year it is the site of a ceremony Honouring M. R. Štefánik.
How can we get to the mound?
